Understanding crypto regimes

Multi-timeframe momentum classification for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoins.

What is a crypto regime?

A regime is the prevailing momentum structure across short, medium, and daily timeframes. FynSight reads 1H, 4H, and 1D EMA relationships on exchange OHLCV. When all three align, conviction is higher. When they diverge, the market is often in transition.

Compliance-safe labels

We use positive momentum, negative momentum, transitioning, and mixed. We avoid bullish, bearish, long, or short in public copy. The API sanitizes internal engine labels before they reach the website.

BTC vs altcoin regimes

Bitcoin and Ethereum get benchmark regime strips on the hub. Standard alts get per-pair regime from Binance where listed. A positive 1H with negative 1D is a common transition pattern during recoveries.
